Who?

I am Mikito Takada – a  Helsinki University graduate (M.A. Cognitive Science) and United World College alumni (and National Committee member).

I am a doctoral student (Information Systems Science/Management IS) at Helsinki School of Economics. I also have a little company, Capbyte, that does software development (a variety of  custom web applications for businesses).

Interests

I dream of doing more, bigger, bolder entrepreneurial ventures – and doing kick-ass research in information systems science. My areas of interest are issues surrounding the use and deployment of business information systems (e.g. information systems and value realization, problems in deployment, methodologies for measuring system use and so-on).

These two things obviously mean that I am looking to someday to work or do research in Silicon Valley – even though the road to getting there is quite long for Europeans without a grant, personal investment or a corporate sponsor.
